Mmm... Candy...

Only popping in to say two things:
  1. My job will improve once we get the new register system up and running properly. OHMYGOD we had some really big problems this week -

but, this blog is not the place for those sorts of things. I have to draw the line somewhere, after all...

  2. I am really liking this: CandyBlog , though I can't for the life of me imagine why... drooool
I really shouldn't be looking at confectionery I'll probably never be able to try, but it's just soooo gooood... And you can tell that the owner of the blog really enjoys their work.
That's all. Oh, and hello to my Ma if she's still tuning in. I haven't forgotten when your Birthday is, either. Grin.

Making Comments

I should also point that I've adjusted the settings of the blog so that anyone can post anonymously, because I know that not everyone who knows me has a Gmail account or similar.

If you want to make a comment on a particular posting, click on the text that reads "[n] PEOPLE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BIT". You can type in your comment, and then follow the directions as shown on the form.

The only thing I ask is that, if you do post a comment, please include your name, as in "Hi! Bob here! I just wanted to say..." or something like that. That way I know who's been following this stuff, and I can answer appropriately.

And if I get inundated with spam or flame, I'm switching it back to the way it was. So behave yourselves.

New News...

Hey folks!
Stuff has been happening since the last post. (But then it usually does.)

I got a haircut the other day. It cost me $10. o_O;
I feel happier knowing my head is not weighed down with useless hair. I like to keep it nice and short, so I don't have to worry about it being a mess all the time.
When my hair is short, it looks nice and straight, but, as soon as it starts to get a bit of length, it suddenly (overnight!) gets all curly and unruly... and that is about when I decide to get it trimmed back again.
Seriously, I hate my hair. At least, when it gets too long...

My Ma is laying down a new floor covering at her house.
It's a fake wood-panel effect, made of actual wood panels (but the manufactured, printed-on type). It's a huge difference from the worn out grey carpet they used to have!
The only problem is... we aren't allowed to wear shoes on it any more. groan
I respect their decision, but can see some problems with this logic:
  1. Floors are made for WALKING on. Not for LOOKING at.
  2. Not everyone has nice smelling feet.
  3. Hard, polished floors + slippery cotton socks = "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!"
Still, I guess it would be nice to keep the floor looking good for as long as possible... and it does make the house look much better!

The third bit of news? Krissy has a new blog!
http://stayawhilehavesomecake.blogspot.com/
It's been added to the list at right. Check it out and say hello if you like!

Making Comments

Hey Folks!

Some of you have told me that you have tried to make a comment on one or two of the things on this blog. Well, okay, it was just Ma, but her question will do for you all.

In order to make a comment through a Blogspot site, you need to be registered with one of these participating services:
Most of these are standard Internet journal-keeping sites or social networking sites. However, OpenID is merely a system of on-line identification, and you can immediately sign up for one if you wish. You need to have an account with one of these groups to be allowed to post a comment.
Not all weblogs are like this - some, like this blog let you get away with just an email address and a name - but, unless there is a way of altering it, I'm afraid the only way you can comment on anything on this site is in person, or in an email.

EDIT: I have fixed the situation so that you can now post anonymously, without having to go through all of that hassle. Check this out to see how you do it.
